NOTICE OF ELECTION
Municipality of Brenda-Waskada
Notice is hereby given that a vote of the electors of the Municipality of Brenda-Waskada will be taken to elect a Reeve from the following duly nominated candidates:
For the office of Reeve:
- Maurice Saltel
- Kenneth L. Austin
Elected by acclamation in Ward 5 – Sterling Jolly.
Voting places will be open for voting on Thursday the 27th day of February 2025 between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
at:
WASKADA LEGION HALL – 35 Railway Avenue, Waskada, MB
MEDORA COMMUNITY CENTRE – 40 – 1st Avenue, Medora, MB
IDENTIFICATION MAY BE REQUIRED BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO VOTE. A person may be required to produce one piece of government issued photo identification (for example – driver’s license or passport) or at least two other documents that provide proof of identity.
For the purpose of accommodating persons who are qualified to vote, but who have reason to believe that they will be absent or otherwise unable to attend their proper voting place on election day, an advance voting opportunity will be located at the Brenda-Waskada Municipal Office – 33 Railway Avenue, Waskada, MB and will be open on Thursday, February 20, 2025, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
APPLICATION TO VOTE BY SEALED ENVELOPE
A voter who is unable to go in person to the voting place or vote in advance, may apply in person, in writing, or by email to the Senior Election Official at Box 40, Waskada, Manitoba , R0M 2E0, Fax 204-673-2663: email: office@brendawaskada.ca no later than February 24, 2025.
If applying in person*, a voter may apply between January 30, 2025, and February 24, 2025.
*A voter applying in person may pick up a sealed envelope ballot package at the time of application.
If applying by mail or email**, a voter may apply between January 30, 2025, and February 24, 2025.
** A voter applying by mail or email will receive a sealed envelope ballot package by regular post, or by making alternative arrangements with the senior election official.
